Happy Inauguration Day! I didn't watch any of the ceremony, but Kyle did. I did read Obama's speech. It was inspiring. I've heard people joke about change coming, but I'm going to stay hopeful that he can turn things around. Someone online commented that it's not like he can snap his fingers and make things better. It's going to take time and support of the nation.

It was a beautiful day today. The sun was shining, but it was still a little chilly. This evening the wind picked up again. We'll probably have frost again in the morning.

American Idol tonight - auditions in San Francisco. People are amazing. I missed the season finale of Momma's Boys last night. I fell asleep so I'll have to watch it online. We haven't had ABC for awhile now so I've been missing Desperate Housewives. I need to catch up on it online as well.

Happy Wednesday tomorrow!

I did watch the Inauguration and was very touched and hopeful. Yes, words do come easy sometimes and it will take time to fix things if they come about. But at least the hope and desire to makes things better are there. I am one of those people that has to see it to believe it. I guess that comes with age. After so many years of listening to promises, words said in good faith only to mean nothing and people out for their own good, I have to have to see something done, somehting I can see being done and completed before I really can believe. I know when my mother, your grandmother Mary Jane - when she was in office as the City Director, I saw and hear great things and how she and others wanted to improve things, to make things better for the people of Fort Smith. I do have to ammit that the Mayor of the city was sincerely and truely did great things for Fort Smith. He believed in making Fort Smith a better place to live and did it. My mother, yes, the interest was there, but she also had a very big ego to fill. She was impressed with titles and important people. Yes, she met many important people in her time and that is what was important to her. Not what they stood for as a person, good or bad, but just that she was friends with someone important. So we will see how the people that can do something to change our situation will do. We all need to think positive, to support our country even if you do not like or believe in our new elected officals, for it is all of us that live in this country and share the hardship in some way or form with others. So next time your out, have a kind word or a helping hand to someone that needs it. You will see a smile, pride, and the sincere appreciation in their face and words.
